Tuesday Nights - 1 vs 1

Time for something fun and new for our COD2 community. Starting tonight and hopefully every Tuesday night, I will be running a 1 vs 1 round robin, WAWA type tournament for anyone interested in playing.

Here is how it will work:
Logon to Teamspeak (anarchic-x.com) and find the PressureCooker channel.
Join it and tell me you want to play. I'll add your name to the list.
At this point your free to watch others play or go play on the CTF server.
Stay on Teamspeak. When your turn comes I'll let you know.
If your unable to play at that time you'll have to go to the back of the list.

The format:
Its simple..two players duke it out to 10 (bolts & pistols only) The winner keeps playing.
The looser can get back on the waiting list for another shot.
If the current winner needs to leave the game then the next two plays match up.

I'll keep a running total of each players wins.

Maps.
You have your choice of 4 maps. The challenger gets to pick.
Standard WAWA
Small boxes WAWA
Ronin 1
Ronin 2

We tried something a little different last night...small maps not just the WAWA maps. I also opened up the weapons selection for our players that need a little more firepower than a bolt.

I hope everyone had fun playing. I'll continue to dial in the setup.

Next week we are back to WAWA / bolts only.

Here are a couple ideas/suggestions:

1) Eliminate Nades
2) Password protect the Server (was mentioned last night)
3) Throw the option of Shotties into the mix (would be funny and lighten the mood)
4) If possible, make that bolts selection the exact same for both players
5) Add the female mod
6) Hide (blackout) the screen for spawns to prevent players from seeing where the other player is
7) Throw in a "Bash Map" (http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/aLBash_Arena;98965)

I think that the wife has planned a vacation next week so I may not be there. So if I don't show up I hope you all have a great time.

Thanks for the suggestions Mirf. These help a lot.

1. Eliminate Nades - Done on most of the S&D & HQ games. Keeping them on CTF and LTS games. Too bad I cant turn them off globally for each game type than by each map.

2. Password - Will do on Tuesdays

3. Shotties are set up for Worldcup and El Alamien Day. Were you thinking of a couple of shottie S&D games?

4.In the exrreme mod if I set a game up as bolts only then both teams get their choice of all the bolts.

5. Add the female mod....Will do. Do you plan on wearing it?

6. Blackout screen....on all games?

7. Bash map...ABsolutely.
