i enter the ip in the console and it does nothing except tell me that it's an unknown command.

In the console, you can't just type the IP, if that's what you're trying to do. It must look like this...

/connect 208.167.243.30:28960

Then hit Enter and you should be good to go. :)

Can anybody tell me if COD WW is very demanding on connection or hardware?
I mean COD2 CTF with a ping of aprox.150 and 8800GT video card is playable but is this sufficient for COD WW?

yes. cod2 is in chicago.. cod5 is in ny/nj.. so your ping should be a bit better..100-110ish.

8800gt will work fine. many of us here have an 8800 of some sort.

sorry :)

You bring up the console by hitting the tilde (~) key. It's the key just to the left of the number 1. You hit Shift + tilde to open the full-screen console.

i knew it was that key.. but what if it doesn't come up?? i don't see a screen coming up or a console rule to type anything
