HOW TO FIX 'IMPURE CLIENT' ERRORS

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU GET AN IMPURE CLIENT ERROR?



I'm sure everyone has seen this error before, especially on CoD2. When you see it, make sure you note which iwd it's talking about (in this case, ne.iwd).

Due to limitations within the game, we are forced to combine custom maps into a few files, 8 to be exact. When I replace/remove/add custom maps to those files and add them to the server, sometimes this error can pop up.

Easiest and fastest way to solve this is with cod2cleaner. Click to download: http://halo.anarchic-x.net/cod2cleaner.zip

When you open it, it'll show you all the files that are in your 'main' folder that are not installed with the game.

Put a checkmark under the "Trusted" column for every file except the one you want to delete.



Press the clean button.

That should take care of it. Reconnect to the server and if you get anymore errors, delete the files it tells you to delete.

Hey that is helpful. Thanks I used to have to write it down and search my files for it. Do-able but a pain. This is quick, easy and lets you get back into the game sooner.

Git I am getting an http 404 error on that link. I deleted the files from my main folder lastnight (the ones you mention in the new maps thread). Tonight I am getting it again though.
