Successful NW Airfield Run...
...successful in that Keith & I didn't die.
Not much loot to speak of, but that was due to the fact that there were other people there at the same time.
We came in from the NE. As we crawled towards the first two hangers, we spotted a dude. We know he didn't see us, but as we crept up on him, he DC'd.
Then, as we got to the second hanger, we caught aggro (those fuckers are WAY more touchy with 1.7.2). We had to make a beeline for the tower/firehouse. As we took out about 50 Zeds, we checked the remaining hangers, but didn't find shit but an AKM with a few rounds.
So we then decided to crawl our way over to the barracks, just to be safe. As we got to the treeline, we heard gunshots!! We sat there for a good 10 minutes, waiting for someone to come our way, every so often hearing gunshots. At first, it sounded like one guy, then it sounded like two guys having a firefight. We couldn't get a visual on what was happening, so we circled around to the left. We got up to a higher position out behind the barracks to where we could see a lot better, and I watched 3 people break from the barracks, taking a hoard with them. We were too far away to shoot (if we had a sniper rifle, I could've taken out all three as they crawled across the road before they bolted.)
We made our way into the barracks and picked through what they left. Nothing major, just a few clips here and there.
We logged off just outside of the airfield, and will probably venture in a gain tonite. All in all, it was a fun run!

Coolness..
You might want to put this kind of stuff in the DayZ log so we don't end up with a boat load of "one and done" DayZ posts.
