Postby Rhino » Wed Apr 11, 2012 12:23 pm

I'm sponsoring a little contest for all our COH players. Winner gets a custom set of Dog Tags (see below).

UPDATED RULES>>>> BRITTS ARE GOOD TO GO!!!

Dates: April 13th to May 13th

Map 1 vs 1 - Ruins of Rouen

The winner will be the player that can defeat the Germans in the least amount of time and on the hardest settings.

To enter you must play the map and at its conclusion take a screen grab (F12) of the final statistics and then post it here.

Settings should be:
    Difficulty Level Hard
    Annihilate
    Fixed Positions
    High Resources

Good luck boys n girls....

When I first read the post.. I thought it was a 1 vs 1, Pl vs Pl tournament... that will be cool

Tough map to play against a hard cpu player.

Nice game Chris! You found their crippling weak spot...

Damn you guys rock...

If you get a leading/ winning time think about saving your replay and posting it once the contest is done. I'd love to watch it.

What site would you use to upload the replay? Last night I found out that Megaupload.com was seized by the federal gov't for piracy issues and you need an account for rapidshare.

Yeah, this happened several weeks ago unfortunately. You could use www.depositfiles.com instead for now. They allow a max file size of 2GB.

What I said had nothing to do with my opinion. I was stating a fact that since I'm not well versed in the US Army option, I would not be participating in the contest. Actually, it was even more so a lighthearted joke because everyone who plays CoH with me knows how committed I am to the Union Jack.

Rhino wrote:No reason to give Rafter your secretes.

Don't worry. Rafter won't be competing. No Brits = No Rafter.

(Stevo, the above is a joke. Have a little chuckle and then go back to your celery sticks and Cheez-Its. :p

in general it takes almost ten mins to get any sizable force with the brits. it may end up being more challenging.
i had a 25 min round on hard my first time through with americans just to get familiar with the map but i figured out the my printscreen takes a pic of my desktop instead of the coh score, and my xfire hasnt been working with coh for over a month now

Yeah, I gave it a few tries this morning and no dice. I can rush up to their base plenty fast and kill loads of infantry, but without any vehicles, it's impossible to take out their base buildings. The British infantry just don't have many upgrades. And what upgrades there are, you need loads of ammo to activate. Plus, to get even a simple Stuart tank, you need fuel to build the support truck, 35 more fuel to build a Captain, then even more fuel for the tank itself. It just takes too long to build up those kind of resources. There's no way I'd be able to win anywhere close to 12 minutes. Even 20 or 25 minutes would be a stretch.
