Portal
Yeah, I know the game is old now, but since I just bought the Orange Box a couple months ago, I finally got around to playing it. I've beaten Portal and I'm halfway through Portal 2. These games are a BLAST. You really have to use your noodle and have quick clicking reflexes to make your way through the game. I definitely recommend them to anyone who's into puzzle-based gameplay.
Two conclusions I've come to thus far:
Portal 1: $9.99
Portal 2: $29.99
The Orange Box (includes Portal 1): $19.99
Portal Bundle (includes 1 and 2): $34.98
These are the regular prices though, so keep an eye on Steam because these games go on sale pretty regularly. I bought the Orange Box on sale for just $9.99 and Portal 2 for $7.49.

- The cake is a lie.
- GlaDOS is a scary bitch.

Re: Portal
1 is one of my favorite games of all time. Still haven't played 2 but I want to. Just waiting for it to go on sale again.
If you haven't played it yet, check out Portal: The Flash Version.

You should give Exit Path and Exit Path 2 a try. They are damn sweet portal-style escape games too.

Re: Portal
portal 2 is just as fun as the first, especially with all the new gameplay elements they threw in there. The Co-op adds another nice twist to it. Matter of fact, i think the Co-Op can be more fun than the single player.

Re: Portal
So I found out last night that just because you're on puzzle 11 of 22, it doesn't mean you're halfway through the game. Quite the opposite in fact. I won't mention any major spoilers for those who haven't played it yet, but when you reach puzzle 22, your game is just getting started. I'll just say this, it's a LONG climb back to the surface, but I love the retro decor.

Re: Portal
I just finished Portal 2. Un-freaking-believeable game. It took me about 8 hours to beat. Absolutely fantastic ending. Wow, I haven't played a game that good in a while. Skyrim and Battlefield 3 are fun, but Portal just blew my mind.

Re: Portal
That's how I feel about 1. There were great games out at the time but Portal still amazed me.
