I can tell you why I chose a desert map first. I don't care much for the ones we got in the begining. I like El Alamein, but it's a nite map. And really, the only desert maps I played in UO, were all on the GFM server. So it's a change for a lot of us I guess, and I honestly never imagined so many other people would want them. I figured everybody would jump on the Hill 400 wagon.
Yep, Geo. There's acually even more that I'm still tapping into. I haven't textured everything the way I want it yet. My biggest concern is having the walls, not texturing them.
Thanks!

chaz ... that is definitely in a class of maybe only three or four other maps i've seen so far ... top notch without a doubt
but i do have a request ... make another desert map that is similar in quality to this one but that is similar in context to fort el mechili
one of the things i loved doing with the gfm server and which i will be trying to do with wfm is to run thematic maps close together ... i can imagine running mp_chaz1 and mp_chaz2 with great relish (possibly it might make me falafel but i bet not)

It will support all gametypes needed. Certainly it will contain HQ, CTF, and TDM, but if needed, I'll add any others.
You can only go into the tower to an extent. If you notice the two "doorways" on the bottom portion with the ledge, that's the most I could do without any problems. I wanted to open it all, and maybe one day I'll feel like rebuilding the top(it's a prefab, so I've little choice with it's design), but for now, that's what it is. Would you like a second, lightly higher ledge like the one already there? That's easily do able.
Thanks Jack. That means a lot. I'm nobody to the mapping world, so I'd love nothing more than people to look forward to another map from me.
I'd be more than honored to help you in making any map I could. I'd go so far as to say I'd love to make WFM exclusive maps. If you have any drafted ideas, shoot 'em by me.
A Fort El Mechili type map shouldn't take me horribly long either. Though I'm not sure it'd be a great CTF map, so it could be one of the first exclusives.

Looks like it'll be kick ass! How about calling it "Dust Bowl, Egypt"?
Seriously though, what about:
-The Oasis, Egypt
-Desert Outpost, Egypt
-Desert Mirage, Egypt
-Forgotten City, Egypt
-Sandstorm Fortress, Egypt
Just throwing some ideas out there. Can't wait to test it!

Hey, Underdog, thanks! I really like Desert Mirage and Sandstorm. I do plan on trying to add the sandstorm effects.

Thanks!
I had a lot of progress the past two days, and now I'm hoping to slate a beta by this weekend.
