Constant 333 FPS
Alright, CoD2 is 7 years old. Now, I hear a lot of people claiming to get 333 FPS.
But what I want to know is:
1) Is this a CONSTANT 333? Meaning with heavy action and with maps that cause FPS lag?
2) What video Card(s) are you using?
I have never been able to maintain 250 FPS constant, let alone 333. Of course I am still using a Socket 775 Processor..
So, I am going to be upgrading and don't want to get the wrong equipment.
Thanks.

I have never been able to hold 333 but I have seen FPS up as high as 500+ at times. The 333 does allow you to jump higher whether you are constant or not...That why Poison couldnt reach the top step in Worldcup.

Yeah, I understand that it may fluctuate. Even my 125 setting may drop quickly to 100s at times. If I were to set the FPS to unlimited and look at the sky, it would show easily 500+.
I just want to know if anyone runs pretty much close to 333 constantly.

I stay at 250 though. I don't like for my fps to fluctuate.

Re: Constant 333 FPS
For most maps it is easier to maintain a 250fps. I have a binding that lets me switch between 500,333,250,125,110,100 etc (maxpackets changes concurently as well).
1.Some maps are able to reach a 333fps constant (toybox and smaller maps etc..)
2. PB will not kick for fps changes over any amount (you can even change on the fly like I do)
3. Like CT said, 250fps is pretty much the golden standard - you want your fps to maintain a constant rate and this seems to be the sweet spot (or 200fps when things get hairy)

Nota Bene - Running 2x560ti in SLI
FUN FACT: setting your FPS to 500 results in reduced footsteps. This can be quite advantageous when you want to run up on someone (flag carrier
lol ). But, some people are not happy with this. . . they might say
