Pressure Cooker going down Feb 28th....
After a good year of play including Thursday nights PressureCooker, scrimmages, 1 vs 1 wawa and some themed events I feel its time for me to pull the plug on the Pressure Cooker.
I appreciate everyone that helped out with the little experiment. I had hoped it would draw in more players and offer some alternative game type besides CTF with all weapons. I also loved hosting the scrimmages and tournaments. Playing as a the |ax| team showed me how good our guys can really be when motivated.
With less and less support for our own servers I dont see a good reason to keep it going. It only serves to compete with the CTF server on some level and we do not play enough events or scrimmages to make it worthwhile.
The PC is funded through February and I will continue to host the Thursday night games until then. I may also have the 1 vs 1 tournament if there is a enough interest.
Thanks for the opportunity to be a part of the community. I hope it was fun for everyone involved.
Thanks
Rhino

Exactly Poison ...................... that's just the way I feel.
I've been searching for the right words to respond to this tragedy, and I just can't seem to find them.
So I'll just say:
Fuck You Rhino. O.K. , just Fuck You YOU FUCKING FUCK!
It's like finding that perfect little dive that you go to once a week for the world's best beer and pizza, all you look forward to all week is that night with your friends. No matter what else, or how that night goes, it's always great. Then one night they just close the doors and it's gone. And there you are, empty feeling and wondering what to do now.
It's like that once a week Fat Girl , who goes and gets married on you. HUH ................. wait a minute .......................... what about me?
(wow, did I just type that out loud?)
You know I'm just kidding Rhino (well Mostyly
),Thank you for that little escape from reality. A place where I could look forward to going and killing my friends.
(and oooohhhhhhh .................... the chance to bash Poison ....................... HELL YESS!)
Your little experiment, and all the work and time you thoughtlessly put into it for the rest of us, was truely a work of art. It gave us something to look forward too, something different, and brought a lot of us together, if even for only one night. Because of what you did, it gave us something to look forward too. And more than you know, we appreciate you for that.
So Thank You Again Rhino. I would gladly pay for the server for the next year to keep this going, but I also understand the community aspect of the situation, nor do I have the knowledge, or the time, to put into it that you did.
So .................... if we must bid this little club a fond adue, watch this ship sail over the horizon, all we can do is raise our beers and toast a fond farewell. And all that's left to be said is ........................................
Those of you who play regular CTF on Thursday nights ....................... grab your asses ....................... here we come.

when you can't run -- you crawl -- when you can't crawl -- friends will carry you.

I dont have a problem keeping it going i just worry about the donations to anarchic.
I have tried to get our cod2 dev server turned into the pressurecooker but i have been unable to get a response from the people that would have to make that happen. Ill keep trying....
Ill try talking to logik when he is back online. Gitman has been impossible to reach.

Sad to hear this.. I have not been on as much lately, just caught up in work and all. Perhaps things will change by then or as Rhino stated we can use the Dev Server. Would be nice to get regular Scrims/Matches too. I think a lot of the downturn in players is mainly due to the new games coming. But, I also bet that once the polish has worn off these new games a lot of people will return to CoD2.

Good news...I dont know how I missed this in the admin forums but Gitman responded:
When its up I'll let you guys know. Lets show our support for the effort by keeping the ax donations rolling in.
Thanks Gitman...
