If we are going to scrim on a regular basis then I suggest we just expand the slots of the password protected server we already have running.

My guess if we will want to agree to some type of team size/ strength. Say 10-15. If they will agree.

On thing to consider.....are these guys using the anarchic mod? If not they will be used to different game play conditions I believe. Gitman has tweaked the weapons and setting on the anarchic CTF server. Our guns, ammo, grenades are not using stock settings. If we go to their place we may experience the exact same thing.....they may even be running the extreme mod.

Not that it keeps us from playing them just that will be foreign ground for one team or another.

that is done but we will have trouble getting a solid 15 together from our scrim track record of the past, start asking people to sign up and join the team

no their mod is totally different than ours, they use extreme mod (but it's run way better than any other extreme mod server like outlaw) I recommend you visit thier server after ours empties (they have traffic 24/7) just for some practice and to download their mod ahead of time....yes we will be on foreign ground so expect us to get whipped...but I'm sure we will whip them when/if they come and play on our server.

I ventured over there to see how their server is and how they are running the xtreme mod.

First of they have a lot of traffic. If you look at the gametracker stats they have 45-50 players at their peak times.

Second the Xtreme mod makes weapons seem more like modern weapons. Sounds, rate of fire, crosshairs, scopes and such are all very different. So much so it seems almost like a different game.

Third they were playing Team Death Match and it turned into nothing more than a spawn killing fest.

Its definitely worth a little bit of your time to go see how it works and experience the difference in game play.

I think I already prefer the Anarchic Mod (Thanks Gitman )

I think we can at least be competitive if we stick to Team Play. I've never seen it fail.

Most of our cod2 players don't frequent the forums. If it isn't a pain in the ass it would be a good idea, imo, to spam it on the console every 4-5 minutes.

Can Gitman or CT add it to the scrolling news at the top of the game screen. We currently have messages about private server slots and such. I remember the console used to be able to auto post messages at regular intervals.

Gitman should also be able to send a community wide email to all of the members registered on the website.

This would help get the word out and I will try to spread the word when I am online.
